Take a look at the art and artistry of woodworking done by offenders in the woodworking program. Offenders craft a range of items, from artistic pieces to fine furniture for state and local government agencies.
The offenders at Pulaski State Prison usually make garments for Georgia Correctional Industries. For July 2019, they took on a project to make 500 backpacks for kids going back to school who are with the Division of Family and Children Services.
In May, Rogers Farm hosted a tour for middle and high school students from Toombs County's Agriculture Program. The tour was led by State Livestock Advisor, Brent Galloway. Students toured the dairy, swine, beef and row crops operations, and the Canning Plant.
In July, Food Service held its annual training for members of the Emergency Response team. Inspecting emergency equipment to ensure that it will be ready to go if we are called on by FEMA or Department of Corrections in time of an emergency.
